Rogue River Fishing Conditions 8-19-2014

Well, we’ve caught a few fish this week – both on spinner bait and straight spinners.  Green/Chartreuse are still the “Go To” colors – but I’ve seen fish caught on brass, blue/green, green/green, silver, and even one other lure that looked like a backwards dragonfly!

Took yesterday off to recover from the long weekend fishing with my dad, Shane, and on Sunday – we also had Alex from Redding, CA with us.  Friday and Saturday were longer days than most as we didn’t manage to get a fish into the boat (very few people did).  Sunday, we started out hot at 8am when my dad hooked up with a feisty 20 #’er!  WTG Dad!  At 9am, Alex hooked up with another 20 #’er!

Today, went out with Gil Nessier again – I hooked up with a 28.71 # Chinook that took me about 20 minutes to get up to the surface to be able to net it!  And then Gil scored with his own 20 #’er!  All in all – still a productive day!
