Justin has been fishing all his life on lakes, rivers, and streams around Oregon and Idaho. After spending 15+ years in Corporate America, Justin has come back to focus on his primary passion: salmon and steelhead.

Justin grew up working on his Great Grandparents ranch about 10 miles south of Gold Beach in Pistol River, OR. He is a descendent of one of the pioneering families of the Gold Beach area (his Great Grandfather was actually born on the Smith Ranch where the present day Half Moon Lodge stands).

Justin is also proudly a US Navy veteran having served as a Nuclear Machinist’s Mate Second Class petty officer – MM2(SS) Nuclear – aboard the USS Helena SSN 725, one of the nation’s elite Los Angeles 688 class fast attack submarines.

From fishing around the Northwest, Justin brings with him a wealth of fishing techniques and knowledge accumulated over the years, and is quickly becoming one of the areas premier guides. His equipment is top-notch, and his knowledge of the area and history will keep you fascinated long after your fishing experience has passed.
