Springer Salmon Fishing on the Rogue
It’s the time of the year again, folks – Springer Salmon Fishing on the Rogue River and the river has set up beautifully this year. The hatchery returns are EXCELLENT! We’re seeing outstanding catch rates, and a 5 to 1 hatchery to wild fish return so far. Combine that with a higher than normal average size for Springers and we have a recipe for some great fishing!!!
These fish are coming in daily and making their way up river. The goal is to put the boat in front of the fish and wait for a rod to bend with the reel screaming and line peeling off like you’ve hooked onto a speed boat headed for the ocean. And this is just where the fight begins…
The King Chinook Salmon Springers are FRESH from the ocean and they’re not happy with a hook stuck in their jaw. But once in the boat you’ll understand – these fish are BEAUTIFUL! Bright and shiny. And taste wise, I’ll put these up against any King Salmon on the West Coast. These are prized fish for a reason.
If you’re looking to book- NOW IS THE TIME. NOW. And I’m not kidding – easily the best springer salmon fishing on the Rogue River we’ve seen in the last decade.
